The Primary Department, based at our Wickford site, aims to provide a caring, safe, welcoming environment within which pupils can learn and develop to their full potential.

We give all pupils access to a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum, taking into account their age, aptitude, social, medical, psychological and any special educational needs. Our lessons are based on the new National Curriculum which provides pupils with an introduction to the essential knowledge that they need to be educated citizens.

We have high expectations of our pupils and aim to provide plenty of opportunities for learning. We aim to reintegrate pupils back into school as soon as is appropriate and give pupils the opportunity to experience success and to increase self-esteem and confidence. Positive behaviour is promoted with clear expectations and boundaries.
